trying to set up a surveillance system in my house?
I had a quick question, I don’t have anything yet because Im trying to map out in my head how im going to set everything up then go ahead and order everything I need. I’m trying to the price down somewhat also.
I don’t really want to buy a DVR because they are all so much money when I can buy and download a DVR program on a computer.
How will I set this up? I’m most likely getting wired cameras, no more than 4. Would this work?
1. Place all the cameras where I want them.
2. connect all the BNC to a BNC distributor/splitter(1×4)
3. connect the one bnc into a BNC/CAT5 converter
4. Connect that to my computer that will have a DVR program.
Will this set up work? I’m new to all this and trying to figure it out.
Lol who said I was putting it in someones apartment, its going in my house!
